Hello!
I’m Kim, a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience helping children build confidence, connection, and communication. I am deeply committed to supporting and empowering parents and caregivers throughout their child’s communication journey.
I provide speech-language pathology services in Saskatoon and the bedroom communities west of the city, working with toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. I support a wide range of speech, language, voice, fluency (stuttering), and social-interaction needs. My approach is grounded in early intervention, strong relationships, and play-based therapy that feels natural, engaging, and meaningful for children and their families.
As a strong believer in the power of caregiver involvement, I focus on equipping parents and caregivers with practical tools, confidence, and strategies to support communication within everyday routines. I value getting to know each family I work with and strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where children can thrive. I am registered with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Autism Services Providers. I am also a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada and am certified through the Hanen Centre.
Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, gardening, homesteading, curling, paddle boarding, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you!

Lucas Derksen MScOT Reg SK 5255
Hi I am Lucas Derksen, an Occupational Therapist based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I am excited to meet families in whatever setting works best for them to help achieve their growth and development goals.
I prioritize building relationships through play, and creating a positive learning environment for children to step out of their comfort zone, try new things, and learn how to manage their emotions while adapting to the unique challenge that each individual may face in life.
I have a foundation in the DIR therapy model, and utilizing the Sensory processing/Integration Reasoning interactive Tool (Spirit), along with other formal assessments that help me to understand how a child’s strengths and weaknesses in the physical, cognitive, and sensory domains. My priorities as a therapist are to use this information to set goals, and help children to develop independence with tasks of daily living, improve their skills for learning, build positive relationships, and develop strategies to help regulate their emotions.
I believe that good therapy is provided when we use all the tools at our disposal and for each family that is different. I believe in creating opportunities for children to learn and grow, I also believe that working with families and support workers to adapt and make life easier for children can have a positive impact. I have experience with requisitioning adaptive equipment and am trained in adaptive video gaming, so I am excited to work with families to find the appropriate entry point to create a just right challenge for everyone I get the chance to work with.
When I am not having fun and making new friends at work, I love to travel and be active. Exercise, fresh air, and my friends are three of my favorite things. Whether it is on the prairies, in the mountains, or across the world, I am always excited for a fun new adventure. Please reach out if you are interested in OT services.

Hi there!
I’m Aly, an occupational therapist (OT) who loves partnering with families to support children’s growth and development.
I have been asked a lot- what is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy helps kids build the skills they need to do everyday activities—like playing, learning, interacting, taking care of themselves, and enjoying life to the fullest. As an OT, I am able to help children manage their arousal levels and regulate their emotions to support their bodies for learning, connecting with others, and playing. I assess how a child interacts with the world (their sensory system) and consider the unique child within their environment. I am able to help develop both physical and cognitive abilities for daily life. Using a playful, strength-based approach that honors how each child learns best, my goal is to create a supportive, joyful therapeutic environment where children feel safe to explore new skills and gain confidence—whether that’s improving sensory processing, social skills, motor skills, or daily tasks.
It’s important to me to build relationships with my clients, be creative, and stay playful. I truly believe that building an authentic relationship with the child is the best way to create a strong foundation for therapy. Through play, I work to provide opportunities for developmentally appropriate challenges for the child to learn and grow. I aim to capitalize on a child’s strengths while gradually working on challenges.
I believe therapy works best when it involves a whole support network, so I welcome families, supports, and caregivers to collaborate in therapy and empower the child to work toward their goals. I’m excited to be part of your child’s thriving journey!
When I’m not working, you can usually find me playing with my two kiddos, making sourdough bread, or getting outdoors with my family and friends— a little fresh air goes a long way!

Welcome! I’m a Registered Dietitian with over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, and adults with a wide range of nutrition needs. I’m passionate about helping people feel more confident and comfortable with food—whether they’re navigating feeding challenges, selective eating, food allergies, growth concerns, or simply looking for practical, manageable nutrition support.
Much of my work has focused on supporting children with complex nutritional needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and feeding difficulties. I also have extensive experience working with individuals who rely on tube feeding, helping families explore blenderized tube feeds, optimize nutrition, and—when appropriate—safely reduce or wean tube feeds in collaboration with their healthcare team.
In addition to this work, I have over a decade of experience supporting medically supervised ketogenic diet therapy for epilepsy. It’s a unique and highly specialized area of nutrition, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support individuals of all ages as part of their healthcare team.
My approach is practical, supportive, neuro‑affirming, and family‑centred. I aim to make nutrition feel manageable and to meet people exactly where they are—whether they’re dealing with complex medical needs or simply looking for guidance that fits real life.
Outside of work, I’m usually busy with my two kids, spending time outdoors, or curled up with a good book. If you’re wondering whether I might be a good fit for you or your family, please feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to connect.
